HOW WE BEGIN:
During our first sessions together, we will create a flexible plan for
your healing, drawing upon the tools of my training that are most
appropriate for our work. I rely upon compassion and spirit and
believe in the essential well-being of my patients. I am ready to
assist you in moving toward the full understanding and expression of
your own wholeness.
I work with individuals, couples and organizations and I am available
to assist with your healing in several ways, depending upon the need.

As a graduate of HELIX, a four year program in Psychotherapy and
Healing including one supervision year, I trained in the principles of
Gestalt therapy, Buddhist Psychology, Physical energetic work,
Ericksonian techniques, Developmental Psychology, Psycho dynamics and
Metaphysics.
In addition, I have studied healing with spiritual teacher and Healer/
Therapist Julie Winter for over 12 years.
I have studied with Taoist Master TK Shih for over 10 years and am a
graduate of his first two year training program in Qi Healing and
Diagnostics for Therapists and Physicians, as well as being a
Certified Qi Healer and graduate of his Magic Hands trainings.
I have participated in World Work Trainings and with Amy and Arnold
Mindell, and my work with individuals and groups is greatly inspired
by their lives and their writings.
I have taught Deep Listening Trainings as a dream facilitator with
Pauline Oliveros for 15 years. My teachers in Tibetan Buddhist
precepts have been H.E. Tai Situ Rinpoche, H.E. Kalu Rinpoche, and
H.E. Jamgon Kontrul Rinpoche.
HYPNOTHERAPY
As a Certified Hypnotherapist I can demonstrate self hypnosis
techniques. Through guided meditations and teaching stories, I help
patients to experience deep inner healing and to transform old mind
into new mind.
QI QONG THERAPY
I am a certified graduate of a two year Diagnostic Training Program
for Therapists and Physicians in Qi Qong, (Energy Practice) with
Taoist Master Tzu Kuo Shih. I use simple, yet profound meditation
methods and exercises that assist in moving blocked energy in the
spirit and body.
CREATIVITY and LIFE COACHING
I continue to explore facets of healing through self expression and I
often work with artists in all fields to assist in removing creative
blocks. Life Coaching assists those who are in need of practical
solutions and support as they move into the world. This includes
details of self presentation, future pacing and planning.
HEALING WORKSHOPS
Women's Mysteries and
Egyptian Mysteries:
I am the director of Women's Mysteries; A One Year Training Program
in the Intuitive and Healing Arts culminating in initiation journeys
to Egypt and other sacred locations. Egyptian Mystery teachings for
advanced students are also offered periodically.
DREAM COMMUNITY
I facilitate dreams on a world-wide basis by creating city wide
dream festivals that bring awareness of dreams to the public at large.
My web-site features a "Dream-sack" for gathering and disseminating
dreams.
SUPERVISION
I offer ongoing supervision for therapists in private or group settings.
RETREATS
In addition to periodic group retreats and journeys to sacred sites
throughout the world, I offer overnight healing Mini -Retreats and Spa
Days in The Hudson Valley for individuals or couples. During this
time we do intensive work on the issue that is most important, using a
combination of psychotherapy, sitting and walking meditation and
guided processes, intensive dream work and energy balancing. It is
also possible to arrange special sessions with practitioners in the
area – Polarity, Yoga, Pilates, Acupuncture, Reflexology, massage,
facials can add deep relaxation during the retreat. Overnight
accommodations can be arranged at a nearby elegant Bed and Breakfast.
World class restaurants and shopping are in close proximity, as are
peaceful parks and walking trails.
Generally, these retreats must be reserved two to three months in advance.
MINISTRY
As an ordained Minister, and Doctor of Ministerial Studies, I am
honored to perform Pastoral Counseling and sacred ceremonies for
individuals, couples and organizations, including Weddings and all
Life Celebrations and Transitions.
I am the founder of the Ministry of Maåt,
a non-denominational, not-for- profit 501c3 organization with goals
of fostering harmonious world
community. (Maåt is the ancient
Egyptian principle of harmony and balance in the universe. )
The organization encourages the creative processes of women and the
study of women's history and mores, as well as trans-cultural studies
and research. Toward this end it sponsors Women's Mysteries and
Egyptian Mysteries Programs, Sacred Stories/Sacred Lives Writing
Programs, Publications, journeys to sacred sites and ongoing Healing
Circles and services. Women and men may also enter the path of
Ministerial Studies leading to ordination.
ABOUT MONEY AND TIME
A session can last from 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the nature
and depth of the work. Longer sessions may be arranged. It is helpful
to pay the fee at the beginning of the session.
Telephone sessions can be arranged and paid for in advance.
I review my fee structure annually, and there will be small increases periodically.
48 hour notice is the suggested time for cancellations.
24 hour notice is required; otherwise patients are financially responsible for the time.
This is waived in extreme emergencies or if it is possible to fill the vacant
time slot with another patient.
Because I am a writer and director and because of the healing retreats I facilitate,
my work periodically takes me out of town. I give advance notice of departures,
and back up therapeutic services are available in my absence.
